Workshop 1:
Integrating Technology in Continuing Education: Designing Effective Classroom Activities

This workshop focuses on equipping university instructors and teachers with practical strategies for designing technology-integrated activities that align with disciplinary competencies and facilitate seamless implementation in the classroom. Participants will explore innovative topics such as educational innovation, artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR), using a challenge-based learning approach to enhance learners engagement in CE courses.
Target Audience:
University facilitators, instructors, teachers, and industry leaders involved in continuing education, including curriculum developers, instructors, and program managers.
Learning Outcomes:
- Explore innovative approaches such as educational innovation, artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality, and challenge-based learning to design technology-integrated activities.
- Learn practical strategies for selecting and managing technology resources effectively to support the implementation of classroom activities.
- Collaborate with peers and industry leaders to share best practices and insights on integrating technology into continuing education activities.
Presenters:
The presenters are experts in education technology and production and work in different disciplinary STEM areas. They are experts in Active learning, specifically in the didactic technique of Challenge-based Learning. On the other hand, they are part of both the Institute for the Future of Education and the School of Engineering and Sciences at the Tecnologico de Monterrey in Mexico, where they have developed strategies for internationalization and educational innovation, such as the Global Shared Learning Classroom, and the Tec21 Educational Model.

Scaled Strategies for sustainable Continuing Engineering Educational Programs
